Columbus, Ohio’s THREE TON TOAD was originally created by long time band mates and college friends, Trent Taylor and Wes Whitmore, after numerous failed attempts to upstart a cover band that lived up to their expectations. A couple of years later, singer Mike Duke and drummer Scot Burbacher joined the band, providing the missing pieces of what has turned out to be some of the best collective talents in the Columbus area music scene today.
For over four years, this rock band has thrilled audiences across Ohio with their tremendous energy and their proven ability to entertain audiences of all ages. Harnessing the essence of popular artists such as Green Day, Maroon 5, Bruno Marz, The Black Eyed Peas, and Weezer, THREE TON TOAD combines the very best of today’s rock and top 40, 80’s rock, and 90’s alternative, while entertaining and captivating audiences with their “fun is paramount” attitude. They manage to do all of this while still creating a professional and reliable working relationship with the venue, regardless if it's a 2000 seat rock venue or a private acoustic get together.
Mike Duke – Lead Vocals, Guitar

Scot Burbacher – Drums, Vocals

Trent Taylor – Lead Guitar, Vocals

While each musician has their primary instrument, the Toad has no problem switching it up for a few songs to keep it interesting. Since they don't believe in backtracking vocals or instruments that they can't possibly play live, what you get is real dynamic performances that do not rely on a laptop or a click track. They are playing what you hear, night after night!
